My Profile

"I came to the firm as an experienced hire so I had a fair understanding of how big companies work. But, even with this knowledge, JPMorgan Chase surprised me – when I walked into the office on the first day, I did not feel like a new hire. During orientation, we were told that JPMorgan Chase values their people, and everything I experienced demonstrated this.  People had taken the time to learn about me before I arrived.  My team leader and all of my teammates knew me, my background, and where I'd worked previously. So I was a part of the team – and felt like a valued member of the team -- from the very start. It made all of my efforts to become part of this firm worthwhile. It also gave me an understanding of why the interview process is spread out over two months. This is a place that wants the very best people on board .Today, I am with the Investment Banking and Analysis Group in Finance. Prior to coming here, I worked as a Financial Analyst in Oracle . This job gives me the opportunity to see the "other side" and learn how the books work. It is very interesting. Every day, there's something new to learn. But my team members are very supportive and have helped me a great deal. Because I've had such great support, I've been able to settle in very quickly and start handling things very efficiently.

To be sure, the environment here is demanding. That said, I have a thirst for knowledge. I am eager to take on new challenges. Looking ahead, I can see that I'll have the opportunity to build solid expertise in my current area, and then, move on to other areas. This is a global firm – and, here, you really are a part of a global team. The firm offers opportunities to travel and take on jobs worldwide. I have the determination and the perseverance to make the most of my experience at JPMorgan Chase – and, in the years ahead, I will!
